Bolt for Brookview Update

Greetings Brookview Families, We hope this email finds you healthy and safe. With heavy hearts, we have to share that we must cancel our Bolt for Brookview Fun Run this year. This event is so much fun for our school community and an incredibly valuable fundraiser. Over the last three years, we have raised over $150,000 that has directly supported teaching, learning, and school culture at Brookview. More information about our fundraising contributions is available on our Bolt for Brookview poster.

As you know, we began the Fun Run registration before spring break not knowing how significantly things were about to change. Some of our students have already started fundraising and we currently have raised $1,600. We've heard from families who have submitted their documentation for corporate matches and are still hoping to make those donations. We’ve heard from other families who are still planning to donate and have asked us to keep the website open for now. Knowing it's not possible to hold the Fun Run, we want to move forward with the following guidelines:

1. If you are interested in making a donation, you do can do on the Get Movin' website, using these registration instructions. We will keep the website active for donations until 4/24 as planned. If you decide to pursue donations from others, please follow social distancing guidelines and prioritize your safety and the safety of our community.

2. At this time, there will be no prize tiers or premier prizes. If school resumes in May, PTO can revisit the possibility of prizes.

3. For everyone's safety, we recommend donations be made through the Get Movin' website. If you have any questions about donations or anything else related to Bolt for Brookview, please email BoltForBrookview@gmail.com.

We look forward to being together again. Stay well. Give Love.

Use the PTO Class Directory to help your child connect with friends!

Now's the perfect time to dig out your child's PTO class directory and help them connect with a friend! If you haven't joined the directory, follow this link: https://forms.gle/4fxxbS7RnxCx366AA. You need only provide your child's name, teacher, grade, and one way to contact an adult.
Please do not fill out the form again if you have already done so.

Can't find the directory, but think you may have filled it out and now it's lost somewhere in your inbox? Try searching for "PTO Directory" and add the last name of your child's teacher, or email the PTO and we can re-send it!

Students can connect via Skype, FaceTime (if you have an Apple product), Google Duo, Google Hangouts Meet, Zoom, Facebook, or Kids Facebook Messenger. All of these are free to set up and available for PC, laptops, Android, and Apple; FaceTime is Apple only, and Duo is smartphone only as it needs a phone number.

We can arrange "no contact" delivery or pick up on any orders. We have some super soft and colorful gear to soothe your social distancing spirit and keep you looking good when school starts again. A portion of every sale comes right back to BV.

For now, stay strong and stay home. Xoxo, PTO

This program will be solely for pick-up of meals, not to be consumed on-site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not gathering at the site once meals have been distributed, continuing to wash hands often, sneezing or coughing into a tissue or your elbow, and staying home if you are sick.

At this time, we are not in need of volunteers or donations, however, this could change in the future and we will let you know how you can help.
