To say we are excited about our first Brookview Parents Night Out is an understatement! It's coming up next Monday, October 1 at Smash Park in WDM!

Helping Hands Begins October 8!

Helping Hands is Brookview's community service learning group! They give love to others by doing projects around our school and community.

The first Helping Hands meeting will be held directly after school on Tuesday, October 8 (3:45-4:45 pm) in the Brookview Library, where students will be packaging items for Meals on Wheels!

Brookview Park Playdate!

There will be a Brookview Parent Park Playdate (say that 3 times fast) this Wednesday, September 25 from 9-10 am! We will meet at the Brookview Park Shelter...younger siblings welcome, but not required! We will have bubbles and chalk on hand! See you there!

Movie Night on 9/21 Cancelled

The weather forecast for Saturday is not looking good and we need to cancel our Family Movie Night at the Waukee Stadium on 9/21. But, there's good news! Good News: We are hard at work planning a Homecoming Family Tailgate at BV on Friday, 9/27 from 5:30-7:00. Join us outside at BV for free food, yard games, and other fun with a Waukee tailgate theme. Waukee spiritwear is encouraged! We will have our raffle during the event, so ticket sales will continue through the next week. Raffle tickets are $1 and can also be purchased at the tailgate on Friday.

In addition to the fun, this event is also an important fundraiser for BV. Our goal is to raise money for unique student experiences at Brookview. Our amazing PE teachers, Mrs. Seiler and Mrs. Whipps, have plans to install a ROCK CLIMBING WALL in the gym and PTO would love to assist in funding this project! Yes...we just said ROCK CLIMBING WALL!!

We will get more details to you about the tailgate as soon as they are finalized, but for now, mark your calendars for next Friday night!

Friendly Reminders:

Feel free to bring a blanket onto the field to watch the movie; no chairs or food on the turf please. The stadium bleachers will also be available for seating.

PTO Q&A + Coffee Social

Join us this Wednesday, September 18 from 9-10 am for a PTO Q&A + Coffee Social!

We know not everyone can make it to evening PTO Meetings, and we want to offer alternate times to connect!

This event will be a great opportunity to ask questions, find out more about what's going on at Brookview, and build relationships with fellow Brookview parents!

Weather permitting, we will meet in the new Brookview Outdoor Classroom (west side of the school). *Rain back up: Brookview Conference Room*

Sweetwater's coffee will be provided, and we will have sidewalk chalk and bubbles on hand for any younger siblings.

Movie Night-Saturday, 9/21!

Please join us for our first ever Family Movie Night and Tailgate on Saturday, September 21, at the Waukee Warriors Stadium! Doors open at 6PM. We will have yard games, balloon twisters, and in the concession stand we will be serving free grilled burgers and hotdogs, pizza, and nachos! The Kona Ice Truck will be serving free Hawaiian Shaved Ice for kids!

At 7PM we will show the new live-action film Aladdin on the video board with popcorn.

We will also have raffles to raise money for the school. Student Experience Raffles include: Principal for the Day, Assistant Principal for the Day, Popsicle Recess for Your Class, Choose the Friday Release Song, Kindergarten Guest Reader, Lunch with the Principal, Lunch Bunch, and more! We will also raffle off Waukee Spirit Wear such as T-shirts, headbands, stocking caps, scarves, and stadium blankets. Raffle tickets are $1 each, and live ticket sales at the event will end promptly at 7PM.
